Hello everyone,
I've tried to pace myself with the support group and what not since it was mostly increasing my anxiety and making me feel depressed.
That being said I plan on keeping in touch, and leaving trace of my story in case it might help someone someday. I'm also always interested in hearing you guys opinion about
me.
As a quick summary of my situation, I am now on day 30 of the infection.
I've been taking Doxycycline (200mg BID) for almost 4 weeks now.
My situation hasn't improved much, and new symptoms have been appearing here and there.
I've been documenting my symptoms daily, and as we speak right now,
I can list around 15 symptoms that comes and go pretty much everyday.
My 7 most dominant symptoms, in order of importance:1- Knee Pain
2- Blurry Vision
3- Lack of energy (psychologically)
4- Lack of energy (Muscles)
5- Jaw stiffness/pain
6- Neck stiffness/pain
7- Depression/Anxiety
The only symptoms that I seem to have gotten rid of is my limbs going numb when I would wake up (that lasted for roughly 7 days and I was really scared about
it).
I saw a LLMD in Plattsurgh July 10th (Dr. M.M.).
I would recommend her to anyone. Altho I've put a lot of debt on my credit card for that appointment, she was very knowledgable and I could feel I was talking to someone that had a real clue about
these diseases.
Her opinion on why I'm not getting better is that yes, I've got Lyme on ice (but not eradicated since i'm only on doxy), but Babesia is having a party in my system while the other 2 Bs are being contained.
She made me and my girlfriend do bloodwork for Igenex.
Note that my GF also started showing symptoms of nightsweat, major headache, neckpain, nausea, feeling very tired. We had unprotected sex the first few days after infection
So the doctor clinical diagnosis was that we were both infected with the 3Bs (Borrelia, Babesia, Bart)
She of course didn't want to commit to any timeframe to go in remission, but she hinted that we were probably looking at a 6 months of antibiotics.
I got absolutely freaked out by the amount of pills I will now gradually add to my regimen.
I'm actually going to list my protocole, and would be very interested in hearing you guys opinion about
it.
Note that I'm not starting all these at the same time, I had a new abx every 5 days. But in the end, here is everything I'll be taking in order of addition to regimen:

- Hydroxychloriquine 200mg BID

Other interesting unexpected things the doctor said that I would like to share with you (feel free to comment on each of them if you've been told otherwise)
- 1 Organic Coffee a day is ok. Green tea is even recommended. (I thought caffeine was a big NO)
- There is no restriction on nuts BUT no peanuts.
- No Sugar, No Carbs, No Gluten, No Dairy. Won't to be AS strict when the disease gets into full remission.
- No eggs for the next 2 months (***, what am I supposed to eat for breakfast? haha)
- Berries, Apples and Pears are the only fruit allowed, with a MAXIMUM of 3 serving a day
- No tomatoes, No Mushrooms
I'm supposed to have a skype consultation with the doctor in 3 months.
So here it is guys.
I'm praying to get better.
I'm highly interested in having your opinion on my protocole. And I'll glady answer any questions you may have.
