CBD oil and Lyme experience

I want to make a post about cbd oil and lyme to get some input and others experiences.

My personal experience was I took it for a total of 5 months. It was mostly really good. It made me feel a slight euphoria until I built up a tolerance to it. It also made me feel very relaxed and sleepy, but not like the lyme fatigue feeling. Like a good feeling. It got rid of the tightness in my throat which I attribute to brain inflammation. It was so good that at the time I did stop all other protocols and just used the cbd oil. But I don't know if it was actually killing anything. I just knew it made me feel better.

But then some scary things happened. I'll give an account of one of the episodes. Things like this only happened maybe a few times throughout the duration of using it. It was morning and I decided to take some cbd. I started to feel like it was hard to think, I got extremely dizzy, and at one point I felt my eye move toward my nose involuntarily. I had to lay down and basically rest the whole day away because I couldn't do anything due to feeling very strange. I don't know what happened. So if anyone can tell me what they think, I'd be open to hearing it.

Are you talking about CBD oil or a product with THC in it?

The CBD oil shouldn't give you euphoria.

No, the product has no thc. And yes cbd can make you feel good. I stand by my statements lol. It's not the same as thc by any means and I'm not claiming it is the same feeling.

Since you confirmed there's no THC in the product you were taking....

It's possible that CBD oil has caused you to herx and that's what you experienced.

Definitely be sure to know your CBD products. I actually know a lyme sufferer who strictly used a good CBD oil and tested positive for THC. Granted, it is a very highly sensitive test now and it accumulates in certain tissues.

Those are certainly odd effects... CBD can also modulate hypothalamus-pituitary-adrenal glands so there can be a lot going on with that. In general because it is an immunomodulator, it takes some time before it has a noticeable effect often though a lot of that is anecdotal now.

I do know a few people that have felt a 'high' feeling on a CBD strain, so it is possible....

I was told before ever using it that it is NOT the same as thc and that it will not cause a high, so I wasn't expecting to feel anything. So I know that it's not mental. Anyway, the point of this thread was not to prove or disprove what someone's subjective experience with cbd is like, because I can imagine different people have different sensitivities. The point was to discuss how it effects those with lyme and lyme symptoms.

I wasn’t trying to disprove your experience - I was just clarifying because some people get the CBD/thc products mixed up plus there are “blends “ as well. Sorry if it came across that way.

The brand of cbd oil that I was using is very transparent about their cbd oil, how it's made, and everything. I understand there are a lot of brands out there, and some not so pure brands. Some claiming to be free of thc but are not really. This brand I trust. They even post the lab analysis of their product publicly showing the product to have no thc.
