I was diagnosed with lyme 8 years ago and have recently tested positive for Rocky Mountain Spotted Fever. Currently finishing up 21 days of doxy and am not seeing any improvement. My main complaint is my cognitive function and was wondering if this could be due to the treatment. I've never seen an LLMD mainly for financial reasons, but need to get on some sort of treatment that will begin to show some improvement. Any recommendations in the Northern Virginia area would be much appreciated. Thank you.

Feel free to email me and I can send you some referrals (just click on my name). I also went to a lyme herbalist in Catonsville who is really good and I would highly recommend her. She is also more affordable then a lot of lyme drs.

The 21 days of doxy has proven to be pretty ineffective at eradicating tick borne illness for many of us. That is usually how we get to this site! There is a lot of good information on the "New to Lyme, Start Here" thread. Anything you can do as far as detoxing or diet can go a long way in symptom relief and for healing.

Loudoun should have a lot of support resources, seeing as they have their own Lyme 5k - NatCapLyme is a big network in the area, with support groups as well. Make use of those!
