That's how I felt . . . Don't give up. I ended up feeling better- after really being sick for a while.

As for feeling like it's going to get worse- it might be a good time to change your method of treatment.

I was listening to this song on Youtube, and it really helped me. Not sure if it would help you or not. It's in Spanish.

OriolCarol, I have been there as well. Feeling trapped, hopeless, body destroyed, terrible non-stop pain, suicidal because of the pain... but I bounced back. Please keep hanging in there. There will be better days. You are in a difficult period right now, still recovering from some strong meds (and quite possibly very strong herx). You didn't take them for a long time, give your body a few weeks to try and bounce back. Keep doing the vit c and magnesium.

Try to read anything that gives inspiration and good thoughts. I know this is easier said than done, but it's good if you can. Have to keep feeding the flame of hope.

I'm happy to try and find inspiring stories for you as well. In my darkest moments what fed my hope was reading success stories of people coming back from terrible health situations, coming back from the deepest seemingly impossible holes.

Can you take anything for your pain? have you tried gabapentin? gabapentin and LDN were the two things that helped a lot when my pain got out of control...

Thanks Girlie! we have to help support each other as much as we can, these can be such challenging, grueling journeys.

Yeah, that first time I took it was after I had that monumental setback. It was summer 2015 if I recall correctly, I'd finally figured out the right diagnosis and the llnd I started seeing put me on aggressive abx and herbal treatments to treat the infections. He told me to push on through the herx even though it was driving me crazy, it reached a point where my body completely flipped out, caused some sort of endless immune system/herx storm. Had to stop all treatments, I couldn't tolerate even 1 drop of any antimicrobial, I was hypersensitive. I wandered through the wilderness until April 2016 when I started seeing Dr H and he put me on LDN and gabapentin. That finally helped stabilize my body. It was pretty surprising how that medicine put out the fire, and the extreme symptoms didn't come back.

I was recently considering taking gabapentin again with this herx the minocycline has been drawing up, which involves a lot of neuropathy. I actually took 200mg the other night, it helped. But actually I think I'm starting to tolerate the minocycline protocol better and don't need the gabapentin like I thought I might. It's nice to know I can take it if I need to.

Are you going to take it along with your bartonella treatments? Btw, in regards to your other thread, I did get a lot of muscle twitching, especially when I had that massive setback. I suspect it was the bartonella, but I'm not 100%.

I have stoped it and it's progressing. I have tendonitis over all my body... If it doesn't stop i'll take a hard decision.... Maybe it has damaged my dna and it's permanent.

Absolutely! you know we are all pulling for you!!!

Is it tendinitis? or could it be neuropathy? You're still in early moments, so please don't lose hope.

I really think it might be worth to try to talk to your doctor to see if you could try something like gabapentin, or other things that can work on pain. In my eyes the most important goal right now would be to find something that can help stabilize your body. I only mention gabapentin because it was hugely helpful for me when my nerve pain was crazy, and I do wonder if that might be what's going on with your body right now.

I'm taking doxycycline now. It give me some relief in pain and can work for lyme.

I'm scared that i have a collagen disorder and i'm worried if it can be a factor to be destroyed by flq.

I can't understand... If it's out of my system why symptoms can persist?

Well Dr SP in CT thinks quinolones can really stir the pot, ie rile up the infections. So sometimes it can take a while for things to settle.

It wasnt till i did genetic testing and had it analyzed that i confirmed sulfuration issues. I have a lot of nerve damage but iv like pk protocol and kilos of royal jelly have got me living again ....i beat myself up for a year over continuing to swallow the bactrim ...
Its gunna take time and some money like that song

It's going to rupture.... i can move legs hands and neck if i do it's popping (tendon).... definetelly this drugs are not antibiotics.... They are evil drugs. And damage body.

It's in humans. In rats it's oposite, bit inhibitiom of MMP in humans is the oposite effect.

How is posible that only three days of fql can make it? I'm thinking in all thinks that i can't do if i have tendon rupture.... permanent, being at hospital (having lyme)....

OriolCarol- are you saying your tendons have ruptured?? Or that you’re worried they will?

You’ve stopped those meds, right?

Now just rest and let those meds leave your system

You’ve stopped the meds tho, right?

Just take it easy - each day that goes by - the risk of the tendon rupture lessens - it is not a common occurrence - so try not to worry... - have you talked to your Dr?


And remember the pain could “just” be a herx - it really hits bart hard

MAYBE “Permanent damage of cartilage Matrix”
... comes with that low risk - right?


There are side effects and risks with all the pharmaceuticals - but they aren’t common.

Just Advil - which many people take - comes with the risk of stroke. It’s one of the most common pain relievers taken - it doesn’t happen often.
