Hi.
I've been floxed by two moxifloxacin dossages.... multiple tendinopaty, even in my neck...
It's know or people say that fql damage mitochondria (FDA deny it)....
Most people are saying me, you should stop treatment for three monts to let your body to recovery... It's a death sentence i can't do it and i can't take herbs (i deteriorate, only abx keep me alive, no japanese knotweed, no samento, nothing).
I'm currentlly taking doxy and mino, but the problem is that i've read that tetracycline impair mitochondria and i'm worried that i'm making my floxed worse... I've become obsesed on that... Specially if my tendons can't heal if i'm using abx, but if i don't take abx i'll die...
What's tour opinion?
my opinion is to continue treating but not with the fluoroquinolones.
I aldo would't take doxy and mino together. Take something else with the mino - like Ceftin or Rifabutin....or...
If you fear that doxy/mino will make your floxing worse...then switch to something else completely - Ceftin or amoxy....until your floxing damage subsides.
