Now, researching my history... I've seen that in october i was prescribed an eye drops (ofloxacin)....one month later i had tendinitis in my ñeg, lasted two days... Do you think it can go systemic and affect other tissues? Or it was from lyme afecting tendons?

I don't know if eye drops would get into your system - in high enough concentration to cause floxing.


But, you did do some oral fluoroquinolones recently, right? (IV?)

How are you now,? Any improvements ?

Fluoroquinolones are known destroyers of you tendons over time. I do believe there is a black box warning on them.

18yearsandcounting, first off thank you for sharing information and helping!

Oriolcarol has posted quite a bit about the quinolones, so I don't think Girlie was trying to slap you down with her comment. She just wanted to let you know that Oriolcarol has researched the issue a lot and is well aware of the potential side effects of those medications.

Please keep sharing info, ideas, comments! it's how we all keep learning and supporting one another smile

Sorry all, I’m new, and was concerned. I don’t need a slap on the wrist by all. The original poster could have told me he now knew, and that would be acceptable. The rest is approaching harassment, which makes a bad impression, and makes me think I can’t try to help others with what I know. I suppose I’ll stick to my own posts from now on, since this has been such a problem.

But i reply again, stay away from this drugs, only if you are dying from sepsis (and you can't decide for yourself)

No no, I'm sure we'd all appreciate if you keep sharing insights and ideas, I know I would. Please continue, I'm sorry that the original comment struck you in a bad way. Girlie is very supportive and awesome, sometimes it can be hard to parse a comment online, can be hard to discern tone and intent.
