Hi everyone. I've been dealing with Lyme symptoms for months, and was just retested by the LLMD. He ordered Labcorp, Medical Diagnostic Labs (MDL), and Igenex. MDL and Igenex both came up with Lyme positive results, plus coinfections for Bartonella and Babesia.
Lapcorp also showed a positive (high) result for the Lyme Disease Antibodies/Western Blot Reflex test. Is this test similar to the C6 Antigen test?
It also showed a positive IgM Western Blot, even though I've been dealing with symptoms for months. Should i be concerned about a false positive? I know Labcorp can be difficult to get positive results for some. Should take all of the above as confirmation I'm dealing with Lyme. I've been told by my primary and others to be skeptical of labs other that Labcorp. But it seems I now have confirmation from Labcorp as well?
If anyone has insight on this it would be much appreciated! Thank you!
You don't need to question your diagnosis with all those positive test results!
RE: positive IgM WB with chronic infection. This happens with lyme...it's thought that it might represent a continuing 'reactivation'.
I had symptoms for almost 1 1/2 years and was IgM positive.
As sierraDon said - you've done more than enough testing....and you've got results to back up your symptoms.
