What is the consensus on lyme testing through these labs? I'm revisiting my lab work just cuz im looking for something that was missed. MDL picked up bartonella & chlamydia pneumonia but everything else on every other lab was negative.
2 stoneybrook tests, 2 labcorp tests, MDL western blot, elisa and C6 peptide, Ceres Nanotrap- all negative, only band 41.

My doctors seem to be content with lyme being out of the picture, think i have my bases covered?

I am interested in this topic. specifically about when to retest, seems like with the antibody tests the general consensus is that the antibodies take years to resolve.

I am also interested in Ceres Nanotrap antigen test.

I was tested for lyme and confections through MDL, Igenenix, Galaxy and local lab called Health Network Labs. I was positive for lyme, bartonella, babesia at MDL, postive for lyme at Igenex, positive for bartonella (hensalea/quintana) at Galaxy, and postive for ehrilichia at Health Network Labs.

if all those labs report negative for lyme, and its been sometime during treatment (and some symptoms have resolved), i would tend to want to believe that its been eradicated.

So you're wondering if you ever had Lyme ... Or if you've effectively treated it?

I would think Treating Bart and cPn should have covered Lyme ? Maybe not the cysts and biofilms - but you can always add those in....

And if symptoms are gone

Im just not sure if lyme was ever an issue. All those tests were done before starting any bartonella treatment, which is the only antibiotic treatment I've done. I don't know if rifampin & rifabutin would touch lyme but biaxin may. I've been on that for 8 months but never had any die off from it.

I suppose there's still the possibility of babesia though I've always tested negative for that too. However, my symptom picture matches babesia better than anything else

Biaxin is used to treat lyme. I think Rfampin/Rifabutin also gets lyme.


You didn't herx until the Rifampin was added?

Nope, not even on the rifampin. I didn't herx until we doubled it and even then it wasn't that bad

Rifampin/RIfabutin has action against lyme persisters when paired with one or two additional antibiotics like doxy/mino and/or azith/biaxin

Im on it now. about 3 weeks in and no herxing. Im thinking the bartonella must be pretty well cleared out by now

I came to him with a positive test result from MDL which he accepted as valid
