Hi Charlie55,
I do not know anything about biofilms or the drugs to take.
I do however, allof the sudden, have a huge plaque problem and found a solution. I can only gather, through reading things, that plaque is a biofilm. If it is on my teeth, then it is in my body.
What would happen is that if I went to bed, when I woke up, my teeth were covered in plaque. One day, I noticed, after burshing my teeth and then taking a 1 hour nap, that my teeth were ABSOLUTELY ridiculously covered in plaque -- like clam chowder. It was SO annoying I had to find a solution. You brush your teeth, take a 1 hour nap, and wake up with a mouth full of clam chowder substance? NASTY
So I came across a post about NAC and plaque.
People say that it prevents plaque build up. I had some, and had not taken it for a while. I took some, and my plaque was down 50%. I am now taking 2000mg per day. I have very little plaque build up and more herx reaction.
now if NAC has a method of action against lyme biofilm, or if the plaque is related to lyme, or if it is lyme, or some other thing, I don't know. All I know is that now when I wake up, my teeth aren't so bad. Also my blood circulation has hugely improved.
This might be a cheap supplement that you could try, 3 times a day at 500mg, that prevents biofilm creation.
When i first bought NAC, it gave me a horrible reaction so it sat on the shelf doing nothing. For whatever reason, I no longer have that horrible reaction. So please be careful. Take one, and wait awhile. I vaguly remember researching what the horrible NAC reaction was, something about making heavy metals more mobile in your system (mercury). So that does not happen to me anymore, which I hope is a good sign. But that doesn't translate to not happening to other people so please be careful. It could be an indication you need to do some other detox first. Again, disclaimer, I do not know for sure I am just experimenting and it works now.
Thanks
