Wait time to see Dr L Dublin ?

Hi, I live in Dublin, Ireland.

I am currently waiting to hear if I will get an appointment with Dr Lambert in Dublin.

I believe he is the best Lyme doctor in Ireland but is booked up until January.

Can I ask how long you had to wait to get an appointment? And also how you found him and his treatment?

I didn't know there was a Dr. treating in Ireland.


Is he truly Lyme Literate? ie treats not just lyme, but coinfections.....and treats long-term until symptoms resolved.

I didn't edit the name to initials...because it looks like he is 'above board'?

I think 4 months is the average wait time in the northeast US for a LLMD.

Hi,

I am in Dublin, I was told 12 weeks last year but have decided to treat with biomagnetics there is a good Irish lyme facebook page that has alot of info on various treatment options.

TAD4207 - are you still waiting for an appointment or was it that you decided not to go ahead with it?

Has anyone else been to another doctor in Ireland? I'm not sure I can wait until 2019.

sorry for the delayed reply- i decided not to go with the appointment, there seems to be alot more people looking for appointments in the last year there are alternatives , i would highly recommend biomagnetism- if you have a look at the Irish lyme facebook page and search biomag there are alot of people treating this way and alot of success stories ( it is not a quick fix though - im 10 months in now and still have a bit to go but the difference between the way i feel from this time last year is unreal ) there is also herbs as well. it's a horrible panicky time feeling as sick as I'm sure you do , you just want to start treating - hang in there , explore all your options if Dr L is the way you want to go start building up your immune system the best you can use the time before your appointment to build up your gut health for those antibiotics ! there is loads of recommendations on this site and others of what supplements you should be taking (Dr L is actually all for bio mag as a co treatment so maybe no harm to see if there is a therapist near you to start treatment while your waiting) good luck - it will eventually all be ok x

Hi SG091,

I’ve been seeing Dr. L since Late Spring this year for Lyme ansd co-infections, my wait time for my first appointment was 2-3 months. While I’m currently by no means 100%, Dr. L treatment has drastically improved my condition and general capasity and significantly reduced by pain by like 90% so if you have Lyme in Ireland I defo think he’s worth the wait, It might seem like an eternity while you’re feeling unwell but As far as I’m aware there arent many other Dr’s in Ireland that treat Lyme properly,

Dr. L in Ireland, is definitely completely Lyme Literate, as far as I know one of the only ones in the country he’s even setting up the first Lyme center in Dublin

Glad to hear your treatment is working.

Did you take anything for your gut to prepare you for antibiotics?

May I also ask how long he first recommends treatment for? Obviously understand it's a case by case basis but I'm hoping to go travelling asap so just want to have an idea.

My wait is 5 months so he's obviously a lot busier now. I have good and bad days so I'm just trying to stay positive and keeping myself busy until February.

I didn’t take anything before hand but the dr recommends you take probiotics, kombucha,kefir and kimchi while you’re on the antibiotics. Also I’m on a suger, gluten, dairy, potato, white rice and red meat free diet so I guess that probably helps too. I’m on the weird diet because a herbalist I see recommed it and I’m desperate so I’ll try anything.

When I first saw him he said 8-12 months of treatment as a guesstimate for me so I’m afraid it’s the long haul, not going to lie by the time I saw him I was pretty sick and incapacitated so with the antibiotics on top of that the first three months or so were pretty rough. Definitely worth it though because while I’m not 100% I’m far and away better than I was before I saw him.

Without his treatment I was just slowly disintegrating for over a year, and all the many other specialists I saw just said it was post viral or chronic fatigue and that there was nothing they could do so it was a godsend to find Dr L and finally get some treatment.

I hope you do get to go traveling when you want to.

I totally get how impossible it feels just waiting when you feel terrible and your mind and body is unraveling, but if you have the appointment than at least that’s something to hold on to and look forward to.

Also before I saw the Dr my herbalist put me on a rake of vitamin C and that defo helped, cos my immune system was beyond shot.

I wish you luck in your life and with lyme and I hope you journey to well soon.

Hey guys I'm from westmeath 😊 I've got lyme,babesia,bartonelka,enrichla, parvo virus, ebv, Mycoplasma positives from armin, I too have apt see Dr L in Dublin in April he is doing interview on Joe Duffy next Tuesday morning. I ordered cowden protocol but am kinda nervous doing it alone but April seems million miles away, hope you are all keeping heads above water 😊💚

I am in the same boat as you. Still have a few more months to wait to see Dr L. Have so many infections like you that it's hard to believe!! May I ask how positive were your results? I have some weak positive on the elispot so I'm not sure if that means I even have some.

How bad are your symptoms? My vision and bowel are the worst of them but can still work with it so sometimes I find it hard to believe I'm that sick.
I think I've got so used to them that it's normal for me now. I find I always have to pretend I'm okay.

Thats a long old wait, and Lyme is a crap show but at least you have an appointment so help is on the horizon.

For what its worth, I think Dr. L. Has definitely helped me, I kind of couldnt stand up for the best part of a year there, and I’m miles better now I’m getting treated.

I hope you find something that works for you

I read your post with interest. I also tested positive for Lyme and coinfections through Armin Labs (Tickplex Plus) and now waiting to see Dr Lambert in March.

I must admit I am a bit skeptical about my test results. I do have symptoms of course, but I have tested positive for so many coinfections it's just hard to believe I guess.

Just out of curiosity, would you be interested to share the Armin test results with each other? I would be interested to compare the results and levels, etc. Incidentally, I think we tested at Armin around the same time in November.
