Hey everyone,
So I just got my safety labs done last week and results came out today showing an elevated absolute metamyelocytes count (64 cells/uL) and 1% of manual differential. Not sure how many of you are familiar with this? Everything else on my CBC and CMP came out normal. And they are usually normal and have been for the past year since I got sick (other than slightly increased ALT levels which soon went away on its own).
Anyway, is this something I should be concerned about? I read something online about a phenomenon called "left shift" when the body is fighting a bacterial infection...could that possibly explain it? Other than that I also found some people saying that may be signs of leukemia 0.0?
I have recently started some more abx (malarone) on top of my usual regimen so maybe that may have done it?
Already asked my doc and waiting for response. But you know..anything that shows up flagged on my CBC/CMP makes me kind of freak out.
Let me know your thoughts! Thanks.
