I just got back my Igenex test. IgM: 23, 31 and 41 is INd. This after 2 years of treatment. My symptoms do not change are I have bad cervical and jaw issues. BUT...my MRI is horrific. I've had injections in my cervical spine a few times prior to Lyme. Bodybuilder for 30 years, hairdresser, nurse: My neck didn't stand a chance. Issue is: they are not sure if Lyme is aggravating my neck or not. I am not denying I have Lyme but how much it's actually doing is the question. For 4 years my symptoms have remained the same no matter what I do: antibiotics, herbs, supplement, diet, etc. I have also read the IgM can also stay positive for a long time. Any thoughts?? ANd did you know 31 can cross-react with viruses?

Have you treated the coinfections - particularly Bart and babs?

Yes, the WB can continue to show antibodies after we’re healed.

Yes, band 31 is rarely something else. Some people do the epitope test to confirm it’s from Lyme - if that’s what’s needed - ie if you don’t have other Lyme specific bands show up. But you have band 23.

So you have all the same symptoms that you had when you first started treatment?

Yes. I did multiple antibiotics for 15 months with my LLMD. Supplements, diet, etc. Band 23 has shown up on Quest in 5/16 and now. No other tests between. My ND started me in a Buhner protocol this time. Symptoms have always remained the same. I have C4-6 severe disc disease which I had prior. So...IgM can stay positive even after healed??

To clarify...I had other Lyme tests between but no IgM bands.

Did you do Rifampin or Rifabutin for Bart?


...and any anti-malarials for babesia ie mepron or malarone?

Yes, IgM can stay positive after healed...I'm not sure how long after though.

Allergic to Rifampin. Bactrim . They dont think I have Babs. No symptoms. I did Plaquenil and Arteminisin. No effects.
