IgM antibodies should be considered even many months to years after exposure.
With lyme they can continue to show up and often don't convert to IgG.

I was just looking at the aspect of igm being positive early, soon after bite.

Neurologist was another dead end. My neurological exam was ‘normal’.. ‘Come back in 6 weeks if symptoms persist or get worse we will go from there.’ Also states he doesn’t believe it’s lyme based on timeline. I don’t care, I am going to see an llmd to rule it out or in... I just want to know what is going on.

That site is Mayo Clinic. They aren't lyme literate...so wouldn't even take it as good information anyway.

I'm not surprised with what the Neurologist said. I won't say I'm sorry though because you really don't want a Neurologist to diagnose you with MS, ALS...etc. Lyme is treatable.

These doctors aren't following the CDC's guidelines, your test was too early to be conclusive by any standard.

Yes, we're not trying to follow the CDC's guidelines...

If we followed the CDC guidelines all along - many of us would not have a positive test result...as they do the two-tiered testing - which is the IFA or ELISA screening test first...if negative NO WB is done.

And for acute lyme, they show treatment is for 10-21 days only.

Thanks, I don’t smoke drink or do any recreation drugs but I did try cbd oil for anxiety last year but didn’t feel relief at all, But have been thinking about trying it again for my neck pain. I take a few fertility herbal and vitamin supplements ..my husband and I were hoping to try for another baby this winter I take rainbow prenatals and eat extremely healthy. I will see what else I can do! Oddly enough my right side symptoms seem to be taking a break and my left arm is acting up today. I had a bit of an anxiety spell last night regarding the sudden shift.

You live in a hot bed of ticks. It could be that you already had lyme and the latest bite pushed you over the edge with a new coinfection. The regular lyme test through labcorp or quest has a hard time picking up late stage infections (or any stage for that matter!).

You mention anxiety, migraines and numbness in your history - which is why I would not discount having it prior. It’s not the arthritic, swollen joints for everyone.

I have lots of numbness as well. MS was ruled out. I consistently have numbness in ring & pinky of both hands which is the ulnar nerve. If it’s not lyme it’s probably bartonella. My heart rate is high too. Can be 130 sitting down. Blood pressure low.
