Chronic Lyme and Dry Scalp - Dandruff issues?

Hi Everyone - i was wondering if anyone else has had this issue?
I have tried everything on the planet for my dry scalp and even keep looking into deeper issues, but i can't seem to relate my dry scalp with anything else, but the only thing I can think of is Chronic Lyme disease that I have.. and the co-infections.

I always had really healthy hair, no issues with my scalp, but now it's horrible. my hair feels like a straw and the scalp is horrendous sad Dandruff everywhere, and the scalp is so dry and itchy sad and there's red bumps everywhere sad

has anyone else had this issue - perhaps it's related at all to Lyme but i can't seem to find any other people with the same issue, so reaching out to anyone out here?

Have you had this issue? has anything worked for you?

I also have had periods of dry crusty scalp. Most likely cased by Bart from what I've read. I got so many other sx issues to address I kind of leave it alone. Sorry I can't be of more help.

I had dandruff in the outer third of my eyebrows, base of eyelashes, and temple area but not my head. I'm not sure if it was from bart or mold or something else. It went away after I left my moldy house 2 years ago.

I have this problem off and on pretty badly.

It always seemed to be that my thyroid was off again and a change in that Rx cleared me right up.

This time my labs say T3/T4 is fine so now I’m stumped.

I was thinking mold or candida but now I guess I will be questioning Bart. My eyes and ears are icky too this time.

aca may be at play but my guess is all lipids are being diverted from skin duties to mylien sheath protection ...try mct oil, krill and cod liver all at the same time in mega doses ...also peppermint castile seemed to help with bvt on the head ...

I posted about this a couple of times, I had this problem, it was bad, finally it was kelp that helped me, I don't really understand why, but for me it was a miracle. Perhaps it was the iodine that helped my thyroid, perhaps it was the fact that kelp is brown algae, and I read brown algae help detoxify mold, I think my biggest issue is mold. My hair is growing back, I don't have dandruff anymore.. I also use lugol's iodine topically.
Coconut oil was the only thing that used to help me with dandruff before I discovered kelp - but of course, not with hair quality and fall out.

Yeah, I only use coconut oil on my skin now. I put it on all over when I get out the shower.

Coconut oil would make your hair totally greasy, though. You could wash your hair work it into the scalp and let it stay awhile or overnight.
