There aren't any "autoimmune" diseases that was just fabricated.

Immune and autoimmune are related but not the same.
As far as autoimmune, that linked article does not tell the whole story, its more complicated.
Autoimmune is, however, a label given to many health issues of unknown origin, usually with identified and elevated antibodies, and is not limited to humans.
Sometimes when the cause is removed, the issue continues on, as body systems can get "stuck" and develop a new normal. Can be food related too (I have proven this myself), not just from living / invading pathogens. Invasive pathogens are a part of every living things life span, so its not so easily identified. It is sometimes combined with lower immune system health too. And genes.
There are many genes identified with certain autoimmune issues. Combine said genes with certain pathogen, food, or chemical exposure and its the perfect recipe for autoimmune.
Living is a part of dying, nothing lives a perfect life. Fortunately, us humans have the option of trying to figure this out.
