Toronto man suing two physicians and a hospital for medical malpractice.

He had a known tick bite plus a bulls-eye rash. Went undiagnosed for 2 years. He repeatedly asked the Dr. if it could be Lyme Disease.

Good, It will be interesting to see the final outcome.

I hope he wins. These medical professionals need to listen when we tell them we have had a known tick bite and he even had a bulls eye rash.

What the heck...so much suffering , stress, financial loss, etc could be avoided.

We just want a fighting chance against Lyme and co.

A news article with more details. He was given 10 days of antibiotics four days after the bite in 2010, then tested negative in 2012 when his symptoms persisted. He's not going to win, but the case will draw attention to the inadequacy of the standard of care.

This will hopefully help with awareness - that Lyme disease is here and flourishing in Canada AND people get very sick AND Drs usually don’t have a clue when it comes to diagnosing and treating it.

@Girlie I wasn't referring to ILADS. I was referring to a general practitioner.
