I am still symptomatic. I had a crash recently from overexertion. Under a lot of stress lately as well. The procedure is not laparoscopic, it's conventional.
Do you think it would put too much on my immune system at this point in time?
I go in for a preop apt on Monday. Surgery is supposed to be Wednesday. I will postpone it if there is a chance it will make me worse. It's not a dire procedure at this point in time.
I meant do you have symptoms with your hernia - or was it an incidental finding?
I know someone who developed one while playing hockey - and he was given the “wait and see” option.
It healed but then when he got back on the ice - it would happen again. I think this happened three times and then he did the surgery.
If he didn’t play hockey he may have been able to forgo the surgery.
Just wondering if you can wait until you’re further in your treatment.
