Hey everyone, so i have figured I have a mold issue to go along with Lyme & I was just wanting to see if anybody had any advice about testing my home.

I have heard of the ermi test & was wanting to see if anybody has ever done one & hows it go. Also where do I get it? A link would be helpful.

Dr. Shoemaker recommends Mycometrics for testing. I believe they offer two options for the ERMI, a dust & cloth kit. The cloth kit is the preferred method.

Yes. What Notsofun said. They offer the ERMI and the HERTSMI-2. I prefer the ERMI, as it gives a much more complete picture of the mold situation. You can calculate the HERTSMI-2 yourself from the ERMI.

If you decide to use the test, let us know. I can help you understand the results. There is much more to consider than just the ERMI score and the HERTSMI-2. The grand total score matters, as does Group I and II scores and the individual species. I’ve done this test 5 times now, so I have spent some time learning how to evaluate the results.

The information you see on Shoemaker’s site can be misleading, IMO. I will be glad to help if you like.
