Daughter's headache: migraine or relapse?

My DD has been having a bad headache since last Tuesday.  Nothing seems to help. This is the first time she has had this type of headache.  She recently finished treatment for chronic Lyme, bartonella and Babesiosis.

The pediatrician had us alternate Tylenol and Advil and try a decongestant. We did and waited through the weekend and come Monday she went to school but I had to pick her up.

A different pediatrician today who is was the one who helped diagnose her Lyme said she didn't think Lyme because my daughter has no other symptoms. She said it s just a migraine and she just has to abstain from all electronics, cheese and chocolate and to try Naproxen and if not better in two days she may need a neurologist.

Part of me feels like I should just take her to the ER and they can do a Cat scan to rule out something worse or even just help her with the pain. Should I call her Lyme doctor (Dr. J of CT)?

Anxious and worried.

Headache can be a strong symptom of Lyme, bartonella, babesia, and ehrlichia.

If the migraines started after treatment stopped, I would get her back on treatment and see how it affects her.

There’s no such thing as “just a migraine,” IMO. Something is causing it. Considering she has Lyme/co, those would be the top suspects. It may take some experimenting to figure out which infection is flaring.
