I was just diagnosed two weeks ago after suffering for many years and finished two weeks of Doxy. My primary doc said he would call me this week. I have no idea what my next step will be, most every bone and muscle in my body hurts at this point, my thoughts are jumbled and my memory is terrible. I can only sleep a few hours at a time and have constant fatigue. Guess I'm just looking for first step suggestions, would greatly appreciate your advice. Thanks

Sorry to say - but 2 weeks of doxy won't do much for a chronic infection.

You should find a Lyme Literate Dr. to guide proper treatment.
You most likely have coinfections - two common ones are bartonella and babesia.
Bartonella gives me bone pain...it actually hurts when I press on it or rub it.

I want to say that it is extremely rare to hear about a MD actually diagnosing Chronic Lyme. That is wonderful news. I would definitely look and find a LLMD or LLND, but be inclusive and keep your MD involved because this is a blessing.

My "MD", who I call Dr. Lucifer, refused to test me for lyme. After over a year of dealing with Dr. Lucifer and not getting better, I demanded a lyme test. I told them if they did not draw my blood, I would do it myself. After they did the test, they told me the results were negative. Then after another year of no progress, they finally gave me antibiotics (14 days of doxycycline). I never felt better in my LIFE. I told them that I wanted to see my Lyme disease test results, and I got a copy. Then I found out that they had LIED to me and that I was actually positive the entire time. At that point I realized how bad the so called "medical doctors" are. I went to the hardware store and bought Fish Amoxicillian 500mg, and came here, looking for a real doctor. I typed into google "LLND Portland" (the biggest city in my state) and called the first one. I setup an appointment and told them I needed a prescription for what I was doing. To my surprise, they actually recommended the same one I got, Amoxiciallin, so I got a prescription for it so I could legally have it in my possession. By that time, I had already ordered enough for a year.

Basically it began my journey where I was able to stabilize lyme, first with antibiotics for 4-6 months on and off, then finding out about Cat's Claw and Stevia, then finding out about Turmeric anti-inflammatory, then finding out about Ivermectin (and Moxidectrin), and then finally switching to Herbal where I believe I am nearly symptom free with Clove, Stevia, Oregano oil, Cat's Claw, NAC, Garlic/Allicin, Cinnamon, and probably a dozen other herbs that I found out where much more effective then antibiotics (after I got stablized and found a baseline)

I am now working and waking up early and feel full of life. It took A LONG time. In April, it will be 4 years. I believe I have a protocol to keep me symptom free or at least I am near completion. You will need to find a LLMD or LLND that has seen these series of steps and recognize when and when not to start,stop, switch, increase, etc. Some of the medicines I took made me sicker, stopped working, then started working again, or did nothing, then all the sudden months later did something again. It was a huge series of process of elimination, luck, and listening to people here on this forum.

Since your MD is inclusive of your Lyme disease, I would try to share and give as much experience to him/her so that maybe one day "medical" science can official recognize what horrible things they are doing by ignoring this disease.

You can get over this, BUT IT WILL TAKE TIME -- is what the most important message my LLND told me.

Look at isda vs ilads treatment ....this could be life or death choice .
