Adrenal nodule found, anyone else? My thyroid nodule is gone, now this was found

Found on CT scan. Its knida big almost 4cm. So my adrenal issues were more than just alternative medicine adrenal and Lyme stuff.

Cross your fingers for me.

Any info is appreciated, Im running out of goggle time. To much to google lately and not enough good drs.

What was the reason for the CT scan?


Have you had adrenal blood work done yet to check the function?

(cortisol, epinephrine...etc )

Ct was for all gut organs per my wanting this scan. Found a good gastro that went all out in testing from all my info and being over 50.

As I keep saying....remember don’t automatically blame everything on Lyme.

Being very fit and eating no sugar but with high sugar issues can be adrenals too. This blood sugar is now a little better as well as past adrenal surges. Leg edema can also be adrenals. I have no moon face or humpback. My conventional adrenal test was always at the high limits. Saliva cortisal was done 7 years ago.

So what's the next step? Are they going to biopsy it.....


I did have high cortisol for awhile, but no physical changes. I guess it takes awhile before that happens (moon face/humpback).

i had a CT scan to check for a cyst at that time.

My recent lower leg edema I’ve written about can also be liver related. I have quite a few bad liver genes so I wanted my liver checked out scanned and might as well do the whole abdominal cavity CT , that’s how the adrenal tuner was found.

I’m the one who connected these dots not any dr. Rreally fed up with the lack of care in overpriced healthcare. I do better at connecting dots than the drs.

Endo appt next week hope they do Cortisol atch and they will prob order specific adrenal imaging. Biopsy is usually at 4 cm and I’m at 3.8 cm not mm.

Stuff like this can be why typical health clueless people can die early, you need to pay attention to your body. 5 min dr appts once a year don’t do this.

i agree you cannot blame it all on tickborne disease, as they say its the great imitator. if your doctors dont connect the dots, you must. i have been doing the same thing following up with various specialists too. i dont agree either with the mantra of treat until symptoms resolve.

yes you must give it your best effort to treat adequately and then some, but really understanding your symptoms is the key part here. the symptoms that come with lyme also come with countless other conditions.

Diagnosed chronic lyme disease 4 years ago. Adrenal nodule found by accident 8 years ago during lung xray. Then catscan confirmed, 3 cm. When finally diagnosed with Lyme (after being bit 20 years ago) I never considered the adrenal nodule to be Lyme related. Is that a regular finding with chronic lyme patients? New to forum. Thx!

Hi Doenice - welcome to our community.

I don’t think it’s a common finding in Lyme patients - not that I know of... but how many lyme patients get scans of their adrenal glands?

Do you have periodic follow up scans of the adrenal nodule and has the size changed in the past 8 years?

Do you still have the adrenal nodule/tumor or was it removed? Non-cancerous?
