This shortness of breath is killing me... especially after I consume anything... food.. supplements...salad.. it doesn't seem to matter.... I know Babs Mold Yeast can all do this but could it be anything else... I'm sitting here gasping for air 70% of the day today... I'm also here at one of the biggest Lyme clinics in the U.S... but see nobody out of 100 people struggling to breath like me... most just have neurological... joint... and so on.... nobody gasping like me....??? Could it be something simple...?? Why would anything i consume put me in this state... could it be Severe Gerd or Acid Reflux....or what???? This place is detoxing me with IV..first 2 weeks and supplements to the roof... but as soon as I take any of them within 15 min to 30 I start getting bad Shortness of breath... gasping for hours...please any suggestions

First thing that comes to mind is Mast Cell Activation Syndrome. Your providers should have heard of this, and it can cause breathing issues as well as be exacerbated by things you ingest. Also maybe babesia die-off since you mention being treated actively, and babesia causes air hunger. I am struggling with something similar, so please let me know what you figure out!

Babesia is a common cause of this and treatment can make it flare up. You don't think that's it?

MCAS could cause it as well in which case you just need to have them tweak your diet.

I had a lot of air hunger today too. People are saying the full moon is making their symptoms worse.

B. duncani for me. Though I think it was more of an air hunger thing in my case like I was on top of a mountain or something.

Yup, sounds like Babesia and/or MCAS. I had very similar symptoms in the beginning, now after 6 months of treatment, my air hunger is almost all gone and MCAS is under control.

I have air hunger- it is more like a huge chest mixup terrible feeling dont know what to do except cry have tried many things

Combo of babesia and MCAS issues related to babesia for me. Air hunger is the worst, especially when it is suffocating and non-stop for days and days and days. Would mentally break me down. Has gotten a lot better with comprehensive babesia treatments, along with antihistamine combos, helped me with die-off.

I know a non-Pharma one is Quercetin. It seems to help with my symptoms.

Pharma one - Zyrtec.

You might need a prescription for the Zyrtec.

Whitetail - oh you are at a clinic... you were thinking of going to Sponaugle.
Hope things are going well there (except for the breathing issues)

I had air hunger a few different periods. Once it was low thyroid, the other times something for the infections. It went away three years ago.

Last time(3yrs ago) was mnt biking out in the woods and thought I was going to pass out. Had heart tested a few times, and it was always in tip top shape. Been good since.
