I have seem to hit something using alchornea and sida, which I suspect to be babs. Buhner recommends taking alchornea, sida, and cryptolepis together for 30 days. My question is, is that if I'm taking alchornea and sida right now, should I stop and wait until my order of crypto comes in and take all three together? I just don't want to stop now if I am hitting something. Would it be okay if I took sida longer than 30 days?

Just add in the crypto when it arrives. Start slow and build up to full dose. I don't take too much stock in Buhner's dosage or length of treatment. I find that Bart and Babs take a long time to treat.

When you start to run low on Alchornia and Sida consider buying Woodland Essence CSA blend. It will help reduce costs vs buying each herb individually.

Good advice from tickbite666. Generally you treat till symptoms resolve, sometimes this can take a while and varies patient to patient. Whenever one plateaus on a protocol (no flare and/or improvement) and still has symptoms it is usually a good idea to rotate therapies.

With CSA I think you can work up to something like 60 drops a couple times a day. I've heard of people taking even more than that. But usually have to ease one's way into larger doses especially if there is a lot of herxing.

Do you have Buhner's Babesia book? Or are you going by the buhner healing lyme website?


Reason I'm asking as the protocol in his newer book is Crytolepis, Sida Acuta and Bidens Pilosa.
(instead of alchornea cordifolia.)

It also has Artemisinin.

Thanks Girlie. I wasn’t aware of the updated protocol. The Babesia book is the only one I don’t have. I’ve tried treating for Myco and Bart with no avail. I think my symptoms are from babs. I wonder if I should just take the CSA and see if it hits anything. From my understanding, Crypto is the main herb in treating Babs. If I see any results I could then move to new updated protocol. What do you think?

I think that would be fine.

It was the Babs protocol before he revised it and many have used it to heal.
You could always add in the Biden’s pilosa later on.
