Advice on treatment

Hello everyone, I will give you guys a little bit of background about myself. I have been suffering from fibromyalgia like symptoms which included wide spread muscle pain, migraines, chronic fatigue, Depersonalization, tinnitus and visual vertigo ever since I was in my early twenties (about 10 years now). This past October I found a non itchy bite on my leg which turned into a bullseye rash. Along with the rash I also had severe body pain, high blood pressure, a sore throat and insomnia. I found a LLMD who prescribed me minocycline 100mg two times a day for three months. She did some blood work and also found out that I have a MTHFR mutation, for this I go to the sauna as much as I can and she also prescribed me LDN 3mg. I have taken two Western Blot Lyme blood test since my rash which both came back negative. My LLMD recently stopped the antibiotics and put me on Samento and Banderol. I have good days and bad days but I don't know what to do anymore, I am not working right and my LLMD bills are really starting to build up, Right now I see my LLMD once a month which cost about $300 to $400 each visit. Does anyone have any suggestions on what I should do, thanks for your help!

Thanks for your replys guys! My LLMD is aware that I had Lyme like symptoms before my bite/rash, she said I could have had Lyme all along or it could have been a reaction to mold in my house. It's so hard to know and because I am low on money I asked her to focuse on the possible Lyme That started in October. I've only ever taken a western blot blood test do you think it's worth paying out of pocket for a better Lyme test like the one through Igenx? Since my chronic symptoms vary so much I saw online that there is a blood test that can be done to test for any virus, has anyone ever had that done before? Deadman, I only had the rash for two weeks before I started the antibiotic, do you think that possibly I didnt Herx because the bacteria didn't have time to build up in my system yet? I am going to look into the buhner book! If I had more money I know my LLMD could treat me with all kinds of supplements but it's too expensive for me right now.

Even if you did only have lyme - when it’s chronic you need more than just one antibiotic.

Re- testing - what was your test result again?

I tested negative for thyroid problems and diabetes so that's good. I can ask my LLMD about adrenal problems. My LLMD just told me your WB test came back negative. She said that she prefers using the Igenx test but I would need to pay out of pocket for that. If I didn't have a non itchy bug bite that turned into a circular rash which led to immediate symptoms like a sore throat and insomnia I would be less concerned but I have never had anything like this happen to me before. I know I have the MTHFR mutation which I heard can make you more susceptible to getting Lyme and it makes your body take longer to build up antibodies and therefore testing positive takes longer. My identical twin sister is actually also on this message board she tested positive for Lyme in the early fall after having a rash with symptoms so it would make scene that we both have Lyme since our systems are identical.

Well she could have lyme Plus something - sure - or she has chronic Lyme and co’S plus a recent infection.

I’d try adding a second abx and see what happens

Some antibiotics, especially beta-lactams, can put Lyme into remission and not cause much herxing. You could try a macrolide, eg clarithromycin. That made me herx fairly noticeably.

Thanks everybody, all good advice. Girlie, I have not tested for any co-infection yet. Can you have just a coinfection and not Lyme or is the bullseye rash always Lyme?

The bullseye is lyme (not bart or babs...or...)
