Hello everyone! I’m new here.
I’m 21 years old male, was scratched by my cat 1 month ago had papule near scratch after 3-4 days and some weeks later my lymph node was swollen (under arm) it’s tender and painful... Had biopsy on it because we did not know what was the problem i was thinking about
Lymphoma was really stressed about
it but then i remembered i was scratched by cat so googled symptoms etc... 1 week ago was diagnosed with Bartonella Henselae IgG: 1:320... I have low-grade fever about
3 weeks now... My lymph node has abscess in it so my doctor said that we should drain it also he prescibed me azythromicin for 5 days first day 500mg and then 250 mg ..I was reading about
Bartonella and many people were saying that it’s really hard to treat and sometimes needs years of treatment...So was wondering if it has a cure or bacteria is always in your body, How it can become chronic and life-thraning or how it can dissapear. I have only Bartonella Henselae by cat scratch no co-infection of Lyme. Thanks everyone!
EDIT: my doctor said to do a surgery on it to cut, not to drain sorry... and thanks for the replys i really appreciate it!
