I was hoping someone more knowledgeable than me can help me with understanding EliSpot and how reliable ArminLabs is.

For reference, I've been taking Abx for 3 years for Lyme, Bart and Babs.

Reference range for values:

0-1 = negative
2-3 = weak positive
>3 = positive

My results:

Borrelia b. Full Antigen: 6

Borrelia b. OSP-Mix: 7

Borrelia b. LFA-1: 5


My LLMD says these results show an active infection. These scores are obviously very positive for this test. Is this a reliable test to show active Lyme?

Abx for 3 years and still Lyme positive?

Do you have symptoms?

Yes, I would argue my symptoms are as bad now as ever. I was able to live life for the most part (work, school, friends) for the first two years of Lyme. The last 9 months I've basically been home bound for the most part.

To be fair, I haven't taken Abx focused specifically on Lyme since 2017. The last 7 months we focused on Babesia and Bart. Apparently we were barking up the wrong trees.

Did you took any psych meds in your life?

I took and i still dont known if my symptoms are protracted withdrawal from meds or Lyme.

Im am still suffering after 2 years. Also Lyme positive at Arminlabs with 5 SI. I am not sure if those tests are reliable. But i know for sure that abx are hitting something for me, i get yellow spots in my legs and random rashes on my body - but only when on abx.

Good for you dont touch them please.

What makes you home bond? Pain?
Anxiety? How do you deal? Im home bond for two years now too, absence of leave

Home bound is an exaggeration. I’m home bound at times when my symptoms are really bad. When I’m having a good day I can get out and do a little bit for a few hours but if I push it I’m done for.

The more accurate way to describe my situation is I’m unable to hold down a full time job due to pain, nuerological manifestations, and overwhelming fatigue.

I know with a WB that you can’t use retesting to gauge whether you still have active infection after treating.

But maybe the Armin Labs test can?

No matter what - you have symptoms with a positive test.

You mentioned the last 7 months were bart and Babs treatment.
I wonder if that’s your problem.

I did 5-6 months on Babesia alone and have just about done 6 months on Bart (and persisters) focussed treatment.

Did you treat for Babesia first?
And with what?

I treated Babesia first with Mepron, Azithromycin, Artemisin, and Crypto.

I'm sure Babs isn't the problem.

My LLMD thought my symptoms sounded like Bart but with this new test perhaps it was Lyme all along.
