Because doctors don’t see a real difference in patients with gene, i guess. In the book i mentioned above, dr nathan says that those with the dreaded mold gene aren’t any different to treat.
I was super worried about the lyme gene at first because it also says more susceptible to MS. I’ve kinda forgotten about it though, honestly.
Yeah, I think I read a statement that some docs say the gene doesn’t predetermine the patient’s response. It was probably Nathan quoted in conference notes or something I read. Do you know if other docs are finding this to be so, or is this just coming from him?
I know some of the former Shoemaker docs broke away and formed another organization as they were clinically seeing things that didn’t get fixed or explained with the Shoemaker protocol. Something like that.
I have the dreaded 4-3-53 multi susceptible gene and have great difficulty with treatment and have not improved much and honestly feel like I am worse of now in spite of trying to avoid mold in a reasonable manner, detoxing, taking binders, supplements and herbs for 2 or more years.
I wouldn’t say it doesn’t matter. Seems pretty significant to me. My insurance paid, so no cost to me. It’s knowledge I didn’t have before. But really, that’s all it is. Now I know, so what is the cure? There isn’t one. I do believe that herbs and other modalities can turn off gene expression, but I don’t have a detailed plan telling me I need xyz herbs to turn off xyz genes from expressing.
