Hi all! Haven't posted in a while and saw this topic regarding detoxing.
Based on my own experience I believe detoxing (or whatever word(s) one prefers using such as removing toxic substances, etc.) is essential is healing.
There are several different types of toxins or poisonous substances in our bodies such as lyme bacteria, what's left over after lyme bacteria die such as ammonia. Then there are heavy metals either from one's teeth and/or vaccinations, etc.
In my opinion and again my own experience most lyme symptoms are NOT caused by lyme bacteria but by toxins. Yes, we do detox naturally but when a person is not healthy I think their detox pathways are messed up causing problems in that area so one's body needs help in this area.
When I reflect on my past I didn't eat healthy, put toxic substances on my skin (perfumes, creams, etc.), had fillings in the natural teeth I had left over as I lost my upper teeth due to an accident. I probably had high mercury levels in my body and the list goes on.
Then I look at the people who have been healed like myself for many years and the one common factor was these people detoxed.
I also look at the big picture and I know our environment is filled with toxins as well as all the processed foods out there, GMO foods, etc. Compared to when I was young food is totally different in today's world. It's work trying to eat healthy!
Some research states that toxins bind themselves to fat, cells, bones, etc. which is even more of a reason to take detox baths (dry skin brushing first), using an infra-red sauna, exercising (if one can), etc. I remember when I lost the use of my legs when I had chronic lyme (as well as suffering from stabbing pains in my legs) once I started getting those toxins out I was able to walk again. That alone was huge.
To this day I still take detox baths simply because I feel great afterward and because I believe we live in a toxic world. My other thought is what do I have to lose?
And yes I still drink Green Vibrance because it makes me feel good. It's possible that chlorella (one of the ingredients) helps with detox.
It take dedication to get into the habit of taking detox baths, using a sauna, etc. and most people feel worse once they start but don't give up because the more you detox the better you will feel.
I didn't even touch on the topic of parasites because that's another topic by itself. I'll just say I continue to take coffee enema's because I like the way I feel afterward as well as doing a liver/gallbladder cleanse about
twice a year.
Last but not least most everyone knows that most of your immune system is in your gut. So it's important to support that as well.
One can spent hours and hours researching the benefits of detoxing but in my opinion the real proof is how you feel doing it yourself. Again, what do you have to lose? Toxins?
