Hello !
After reading a lot about BVT, I will begin it tomorrow.

I am currently on antibiotics for lyme and bart ( bicillin, tetralysal and rifampin) but just got worse and worse.

Today I am cut in half, my left side is pretty normal and the right is in unbearable nerve pain with all the muscles spasmed. I can t stand up, I am too weak. I even can t bear my weelchair because of the pain on my back. Panic attacks and depression are a mess too.

I would to know if someone in such a bad shape had success with BVT, it is a sort of last resort for me.

Welcome to the bvt club. I'm sorry you are in such bad shape. There were a lot of people worse than you when they started bvt and completely healed. Ellie Lobel being one. Bluelyme will chime in, and he was in really bad shape when he started.

If you haven't done so yet, I recommend you join the bvt for lyme group on Facebook.

What will be your protocol?

I will do the Ellie Lobel protocol. I already am in 2 facebook groups.

If all is ok with my test sting, can I have my first real sting the same day ?

I will sting on monday wednesday and friday.

Test sting and first real sting today.
Pain maybe during 2 minutes, and 20 min after, no swelling, just a dark point on my skin...
I hope the sting has been made in the right way...

Good job!

Sounds like your immune system is not responding yet. This is ok. It will kick in sooner or later. This happens with a lot of people who have been on Abx for a while. The venom will start cleaning house and putting everything back in order. Congratulations on starting!

BTW, where was your sting? And, are you still taking antibiotics?

Oh yes, my immune system is a crap...
I take antibiotics yes because my bart is really aggressive.
And I have sub cutaneous immunoglobulins every weeks ( for 3 weeks).
My stings were along the spine.

I know it is not ideal to use painkillers with bvt, but what are your experiences with ?
I am in so much pain I could pass out ( every day, not because of the sting yesterday ).

Hi Insomnia,

Yes, the goal is 10 stings 3x a week. You do not want to stay at 1 or 2 stings. You may have to stay at 1 or 2 until herxing eases if your herx is intense. But, staying there for the long run would be too little venom to be effective. Taking milk thistle is a good idea. We are supposed to take at least 3000 mgs of vitamin C per day while doing bvt and focusing heavily on detox on non sting days. I take kidney and liver support herbal blends daily along with C. This works for me

Even at 1 to 3 stings, you should keep it at 3x a week. Keep the stinger in for 15 - 20 minutes.

Hello again.
2 stings this morning. 5 min after I almost passed out, and then return to my baseline and kept the stingers 10 more minutes. No allergic reaction at all.

Is it normal ?

Everyone can react in different ways depending on the level of infection and immune system. I suggest staying at 2 stings for at least a week before moving up.

When you say no allergic reaction, do you mean no swelling, or no anaphylaxis?

No reaction at all, just a little redness for 5minutes.

Hello all !!
2 stings this morning ( it is 10am here lol),
and no passing out. I seem to feel the effects of the venom in my brain 10 min after the stings, like a sort of hot brain fog.
The veterans, did you feel the effects so quickly ?
My llmd took me off my atb yesterday for at least one week to see if my worsening is a herx or if the atb are useless ( I think it is more that, the spirochetes in my blood are like in a swimming pool lol).
So one week of detox, without this darned rifampin which drives me totaly crazy, but I stick with BVT.
I am so happy to tolerate it good ! ( and I hope my " French English" is not too bad for you to read, I have learned English with all the time I spent reading healingwell, lymenet, tired of lyme and dr Horowitz's books. Thank you Lyme...).😁

keep it up bullekid , abx will help if bart 2nd cell wall is suceptable . bvt does need a little herbal or electromedice to help whack bart imo probably species dependent. i did well with zhangs hh2 and allicin much better than rifampin , and i luv your english , speak some on ur next microscoping ?!
