I find this to be a very interesting question, and I hope you get some replies. I have gone to the hospital twice with symptoms of GB, but was quickly dismissed once folks saw the word "Lyme" on my chart. Not able to walk, severe nerve pain and weakness in hands and feet and arms, low pupil reactivity, and serious cardiac dysregulation. Once was following a virus, which is common for GB presentation. Both times, the ER staff assigned me to the hypochondriac category and told me I was anxious. If it helps, the symptoms did pass, although they do return occasionally, and are all possible features of Lyme in and of themselves.

gb was on of my first mis diagnosis after a sulfa incident , there was a lot of autoimmune factors that led me to bvt . also naming a "syndrome after the duc who found a set symptoms without going to the cause is just bad medicine and science. naming it in latin doesnt count much either. if something is attacking the cells the one must ask whats in there theyre trying to get at?
