I’ve cleaned my diet up but since it’s Easter I gave in & had some banana pudding. Soon after I got a headache and feel kinda sluggish. Is this probably a food sensitivity?

Is it possibly too much potassium? This can be the result of adrenal problems, or a side effect of certain drugs, such as trimethoprim.

I guess it depends on what you mean by cleaning up your diet, and what your body is sensitive to. The amount of sugar in even a bite of pudding would make me feel sluggish with a headache. Do you normally eat a lot of sugar? Do you have candida issues? Banana pudding does sound yummy. ;)

Saraeli I usually get no sugar unless I work. It took like 20 minutes after eating I got a terrible headache. As far as Candida, I have no clue.

Sugar can cause the symptoms you mentioned and more. I can take a little sugar. But if I were to eat a pastry then something else with sugar, chances are I will have a migraine all night and feel bad the next day.
Same goes for gluten. Three days ago I had both gluten and sugar in moderate amounts, and that night I had the worst migraine I've ever had in all the years of dealing with this. Just sometimes I get so frustrated I crave something normal. Understand why you wanted to try pudding on Easter. Sorry you had bad reaction.

Food sensitivies are from : antibody release, cytokin release, feeding candida and or sibo, and leaky gut and to some extent glucose issues (energy). You need to investigate to find out which ones. Proper diet can be different for ALL of us depending on the above.

I have food sensitivities up the wall. They can get better or worse over time for no reason. It could be anything. I'd say the sugar is the biggest culprit. Remember everything is poisonous depending on the dosage.
