Changing up antibiotics, advice?

Since minocycline is getting expensive, my LLMD recommended I start pulsing it, about 2x a week. The only other antibiotic I will be taking is cefuroxime. And I'm going to be doing IV Flagyl once a week, and if that works out well, I'll add in a Zithromax IV once a week as well. But primarily I'll just be on the cefuroxime most of the time. Is this okay or enough? I trust his thinking but I don't want to become resistant. Also on Buhner herbs not sure if those count as antibiotics but I'm sure reacting to them

If you think minocycline is expensive, wait until you see the price of cefuroxime and zithromax.

Flagyl pills are cheap, why are you using IV?

Cefuroxime is covered so it's not expensive where I'm buying it. My gut sucks so I'm doing IV. Zithro IV isn't expensive either. One time a week isn't very pricey.

So, any advice on the actual protocol?

A possible concern is that bartonella can be resistant to macrolides, including zithromax. So you'll have to figure out if that works or not. Pulsing minocycline should be fine.

That’s a fine lyme protocol but doubtful if it will be good for bart and definitely not for Babesia.

I don't have babesia as far as I know. It doesn't seem like we are targeting bart yet. He mentioned Rifampin in the future but he's sticking with his "tried and true" right now I guess.

So it’s Ceftin daily plus mino twice weekly and IV Flagyl once weekly and possibly IV Zithromax once a week?

Yes. Actually I'm not sure if he's prescribing the zithromax because I just got a notification I have a prescription ready that starts with AZ. It's very cheap so that might be the case.

Yup looks like the Zithro will be in pill form.
