Interesting that on page 51 Dr. Blekenssopp (sp?) says avoidance has a 1 in a million chance of being effective. Page 58 Runyan suggests sleeping in your car in a parking lot or camping in a neighbor's yard to avoid mold? That's a little extreme...
The comment you referred to is by someone named Damien Blenkinsopp. Not a medical doctor. Not sure where you got “Dr.” from. The document is a collection of questions and answers by members of the paradigm change group. They are extreme mold avoiders.
If you go to the page after that and read the rest of Damien’s comments on the topic of “Will Mold Avoidance Work?”, he makes some very insightful observations and assumptions.
Yes, everything extreme mold avoiders do is extreme. That’s why most don’t do it. Those who have done it and succeeded at it have very keen instincts and ability to detect mold, mycotoxins, and other environmental toxins both indoors and outdoors. They know a lot by experience.
While Dr. Shoemaker approaches the subject from a strict series of scientific data collection based on lab markers, extreme mold avoiders approach it from both a scientific and experiential approach.
From what I gather from having read various pieces of their work, they are very different from us. While some of them do have Lyme, others do not. Many of them have ME/CFS and were severely debilitated and bedridden.
