I was taking zithro before, only cefixime was added later. I am getting migraine now, too much to handle.

Maybe your bart was resistant to zithro?

When I took clarithromycin, I got what at first seemed like a herx, but the bartonella infection got worse. Bartonella seems to put up a fight and grow more aggressively when challenged with antibiotics that it is partially resistant to.

Minocycline killed it though. And wow, dead bart smells bad. I never got that much foul odor from clarithromycin.

If it was resistant why do i still get rashes on it?

I got rashes and hemolysis from the active infection as well as the Herxheimer reaction, so sometimes it can be hard to tell the difference. The difference that I noticed was that I got a lot more toxicity, fever, and bad smell from the herx.

Yes. But when you get an infection, it is supposed to put you worst without any break of being a little better right? Or did you feel better in between while Bart was getting worst on clarithromycin? Getting confused. Unless Bart takes a break to gain energy (you feel a little better) and then Kills you stronger than ever.(you feel worst then ever)?

Yeah, bart comes and goes. It would get better, then it would get worse. The clarithromycin made me feel better because it worked against lyme disease. Then the bart infection got worse, but at first I didn't understand what was happening.
