Hi friends,
I hope this isn't a silly question... First, brief background, I have been dealing with numerous symptoms for about 20 years now, no doctor can explain. Weight loss/inability to gain, hair loss, fatigue, Neuro symptoms started 4 years ago, etc.... When I tell you I've been tested for everything under the sun, it's not an exaggeration. I feel fortunate in that everything is "normal" but I know my body and have been tortured for over 2 decades with these symptoms. Anyway, here's my question... If your immune system is robust and you are infected with lyme, can your body fight it on its own? As a child I remember showing my mother a bullseye rash on the bottom of my foot. She dismissed it as ringworm and of course I didn't think twice. I don't know why I remember this but I do. I'm wondering if it was really a Lyme rash and could I be harboring Lyme for decades. I thought I remember hearing that not everyone bitten by a deer tick will get Lyme because the immune system will eradicate it. Anyone have any thought on this? Thanks for reading. Be well.
