It's funny, actually more sad then, they say "oh you mentioned this before..." like then I'm thinking WHY WOULDN'T I MENTION...LIKE THE MAIN THING THAT IS WRONG WITH ME? ...based on the fact that I know myself better than anyone...to be dismissed...again...
literally 2 doctors said this to me in the past 3 months!
like... are we really still pretending?...that tick-borne disease can't cause neuropsychiatric manifestations and myriad other bizarre systemic problems?
And my last very old (80+ years old I think) physician seemed to think it was more likely that I had AIDS than Lyme Disease...NOPE lol, I have to laugh even though it is morbidly sad that ACTUAL PHYSICIANS don't seem to know the latest numbers, it's like 6 to 1 Lyme cases versus AIDS.
AIDS lol. Yeah it's tick-AIDS...pretty much. (Sorry if this language offends, it's just so ridiculous the politics of it!)
approximately 50,000 Americans diagnosed with AIDS each year
(according to www.dosomething.org)
estimated ~300,000 diagnosed with Lyme Disease diagnosed each year in the US
(source: CDC)
That's 6:1. So hello mister-very-old-doctor, it's six times more likely that I have a vector-borne disease...just saying.
Sorry I just have to laugh but it's absurdly macabre this political fiasco right now.
