Lately I've been getting bitten by a mysterious 'mosquito' that's invisible as well as inaudible.
EDIT: turns out it was the hives building up slowly.

They are very tiny and and can get through most window screens.
And they bite...

My first thought was bedbugs. They can live anywhere (anything upholstered, a backpack, the cracks in hardwood floors, etc.).
But yeah, I suppose it could be many things. This must be so annoying!

If you haven't you should try some antiparasite meds-ivermectin-albenzole-ect

I also have had "bugbites" that I can tell are coming from underneath my skin, and I can tell are not actual bugbites. I get itchy bumps that all are lined up in a row.
The picture you posted definitely looks like some kind of bug bite though. You might want to check for spiders also. Some times they hide in clothes.
