QQ for the board. Is there anywhere overseas to get atovaquone? To get the amount one needs to properly treat babesia (minimum of 4 months) you need a lot of it and only LLMD's will typically give you that amount but at a very high cost. Thanks.

InhousePharmacy sells the atovaquone / proguanil combination (malarone).

Mepron is expensive and difficult to obtain.

There are many other alternatives for treating babesia.

a simple giemsa stain can reveal if its babs or that BLO gram neg plaguing your cells . 4 continuous months of mitochondrial damage may be ruff if that not the offending organism?

I wonder if it’s because the Atovaquone is liquid and should be temperature controlled - so ADC don’t want to bother with it.

Rikky already treated Babesia so I’m asking because I’m concerned this means a relapse.
.. it could very well be for a family member though... or he’s asking for a friend.

Also wanted to mention that people do choose ADC sometimes because of the good prices.
(Not because they’re trying to get meds without a script.)
And ADC is a legit pharmacy.

My cost on Atovaquone has dropped to $177 a bottle. It used to be twice that.
