Hey guys so I have a question regarding some of the things I notice going on with my skin.

I notice things causes irritation to my skin very easily, & I’m trying to figure why. Is it the Lyme disease, or could it be bartonella?

A few things I notice that ain’t right is like, scratching my arm lightly, causing very red marks. Going to the gym using the squat machine putting huge marks on my shoulder when it doesn’t do anybody else that way.

What is the cause of this symptom? Again I was diagnosed with Lyme, bart, & CIRS. Thanks guys

Sounds similar to dermatographia, but the definition of that includes raised skin and hives. I had redness and marks but not raised or hives lifelong.

If you never had this before Lyme/co, then it is definitely Lyme/co. I’m not sure which infection, though. It could also be mast cell related.

One idea: Dermatographic urticaria (when you see red raised marks from scratching your skin lightly) is a symptom of mast cell activation syndrome (MCAS). Various infections can trigger MCAS, and some find it helpful to treat the MCAS before treating the infections themselves. Might be worth looking into.
