p. 101 - Finally, after three hours and forteen minutes, Grey asked him (Wilhelm) the one question, the only question, he really cared about: "Was the pathogen that you found in that tick that Allen Steere [the Lyme outbreak investigator] gave you the same pathogen or similar, or a generational mutation, of the one you published in the paper... the paper from 1952?

In response, Willy crossed his arms defensively, took a deep breath, and stared into the camera for forty three seconds - an eterenity. Then he looked away, down and to the right. He appeard to be working through an internal debate. The left side of his mouth briefly curled up, as if he is thinking, "Oh well". Then anger flashes across his face. "Yah" he said, more in German than in English.

It is a stunning admission from one of the world's foremost authorities on Lyme disease. If it was true, it meant that Willy had left out essential data from his scientific articles on the Lyme disease outbreak, and that as the disease spread like a wildfire in the Northeast and Great Lakes regions of the United States, he was part of the cover-up of the truth. He seemed to be saying that Lyme wasn't a naturally occuring germ, one that may have gotten loose and been spread by global warming, an explosion of deer, and other environmental changes. It had been created in a military bioweapons lab for the specific purpose of harming human beings. And somehow it had gotten out.

I respect the fact that you're not interested in reading this book. Not everyone is interested. The reason why I feel this book is important for Lyme people to read is because it gives you the "who", "what", "when", "where" "why" and "how" about the disease you're suffering with.

If we don't understand the basics of where our disease originated from, we can't understand a path forward for recovery. I'm referring to the lyme community as a whole. It helps me personally because I need a frame of reference to put things into context. Some people have been conditioned by our society to shrug things off as conspiracy theories and therefore it's information that they don't need to know. That is not what this book is. This is a biography of Wilhelm Burdorfer that comes directly from his own personal papers that he provided to Kris when he died. His own personal papers and video interviews in his own words. It's a story of his life. It's an important story, because he was at ground zero during the onset of the lyme disease epidemic. His name is literally on the lyme spirochete. Borrelia Burgdorferi. This is an important person. It's always good to learn our history. Otherwise it's hard to have a frame of reference to move forward with healing.

That's cool if you don't want to read it. It's a free country. I just think a lot of people have been very confused about why they're sick. They want answers. The answers have been purposefully hidden from them until now. Now, here they are! It's exciting for me to learn the truth. I wanted to share this because I figured other people are interested in learning the truth. Willy wants you to learn the truth too. That's why he left his papers to Kris to publish. He wants you to get better. He felt guilty about his role in making you sick. Now he's giving the opportunity to unravel the mystery and find a cure. He was not a good man, but he was not completely a bad man either.

Thanks for asking about my recovery. Unfortunately, I've had this disease for 20 years and I don't think I'll ever get rid of it. I believe it's chronic. I've kind of come to terms with it. I might try stem cells at some point or those intracellular drugs that Dr. H mentioned. I take maintenance ceftriaxone on the weekends with rifampin just to sort of keep it under control. Do you feel you're on the road to recovery?

I'm hoping that studies of Burgdofer's papers by the scientific community will help to find a cure to these diseases. A lot of these diseases such as Ricketsals can't even be seen under a microscope. That's why it's essential to read this book and understand what Burgdorfer and his colleagues developed that is making us sick. If we don't identify the disease, we have zero hope of finding a cure. These papers and memoirs are critical to us understanding the full story of what happened, what was developed and why, so that we can engineer a solution out of this mess. For me, it's not about dwelling on the negative, it's about learning the truth and then developing a solution. Until you know the truth, you can't develop a solution to fix the problem.

Im not much of a book reader, but sounds like it could have some interesting "Willey" quotes.

Back in 2004, The book "Lab 257" came out, explaining that "modern" lyme disease came from this lab on Plumb Island. I never read it, but I wonder where / who there facts came from back then. You can still get this book today- not banned.

Our government has done things like this for a long, long time. We had a post about other government disease and chemical testing on its own citizens, some of which came to trial under Bill Clintons administration. This trial info is public information and can be found, word for word, BUT never came up in the news media back then as far as I know.. I have read parts of it and was blown away. That post made some people here very uncomfortable and said they'd leave the forum should the post continue. Sometimes the truth is harsh. Knowing the past truth is not the same as dwelling on it though, either way, it is what we make of it. Anyone whos experienced war or had the opportunity to listen to someone who has, knows citizens of any country are just numbers per its military. All the "PC" and "people rights" mentioned today are to just keep the majority of citizens under control and somewhat calm (and clueless)..

True, but aren't there people that are well again who are fighting the good fight? ...don't know what's more !*&^@-ed...this disease complex...or the politics of it....finally I don't want to be too melodramatic, and I may have read it somewhere else before, but this is our Chernobyl disaster...it's easy to dismiss or even ridicule it when it doesn't directly affect you, unless you know, you have some compassion and humanity left as a human being or something crazy like that. /s

Exactly. Any living organism or thing can be genetically modified, not just our grains. Genetic engineering has been around for a long time in R&D "bio labs".

Lyme certainly would be an odd one to choose due to its long start effect. Maybe there was an even harsher one that DIDNT get out. We might actually be lucky and dont know it.

I have already purchased 4 copies of this book and have sent them to prominent politicians. Politicians need to be made aware of what the true story is with Lyme Disease so that they can pass appropriate laws to support research into Lyme disease and prosecute/jail the criminals at the CDC and IDSA. Until these individuals are in jail, no justice will be had for Lyme Disease victims.

Everyone on this forum needs to purchase this book and read it. It is EARTH SHAKING. Your illness is not an excuse for you to not read this book. It is very important to your health that you read this book. No excuses. Buy it and read it. All Lyme disease victims need to understand the truth about their disease and why they are sick. Ignorance is not bliss.

Yes, sorry. I understand that many of us can barely get out of bed due to multiple co-infections and a myriad of other health problems brought on by this disease. I guess what I was trying to say is if you can read this book, it's well worth it. It's not another Lab 257. There is information here that will change the way we look at this disease.

That's wonderful that you are in remission. It gives us all hope. We all do our best as we struggle with this disease.

To me, this book gives me a lot of hope on both the healing and political lyme fronts. For the healing front, it gives us new insight into what this disease (or diseases) are, and what the deceptions have been for 40+ years now. And the political front, it tells the truth about who was involved and what they did. I think it gives us a great leap forward towards healing this disease and finding a cure.
