Can you take Quercetin and Chinese Skullcap?
This happened to me after a stomach bug back in December. It scared me. I could feel overwhelming inflammation starting to surge in my body - basically a cytokine storm. Same thing happened after a week of minocycline when I first found out I had Lyme. Stopped abx and took me 4 months to recover. Had similar situation after Augmentin for a week.
I had never heard of post viral myositis. When this happened after minocycline, my Functional MD said she didn’t know why I reacted that way. I didn’t trust her anymore after that.
Edit:
I just re-read the end of your post. After the stomach bug in December, I had the exact same issue. Out of the 3 people in the house who had it, I seemed to have the mildest symptoms. It was a weird bug, though, not like a typical stomach virus that lasts 1-3 days. It was like an on-again off-again virus that drug out for 7-10 days.
Anyway, I seemed okay until it was over with. That’s when the inflammation started. I wasn’t sure what was happening - whether my immune system was having a hard time completely eradicating the virus; it was a cytokine storm; or other infections were increasing because my immune system had been distracted by this virus.
I think I took Quercetin to help the inflammation. I started a norovirus protocol with lomatium, licorice, and isatis for about
a week just to cover myself in case it was still a virus issue. I don’t remember the herbs having much affect on the inflammation and may have increased fatigue a little.
