Steelogreens: Great to see you on here! and thanks so much for the kind words. how have you been doing?! hoping DSF ends up being a helpful tool for a lot of patients
time will tell! I emailed with a babesia researcher who worked on the 2018 study that showed current therapeutics are rather ineffective for that pathogen. I was so excited about
disulfiram's seeming incredible activity against my babesia, I wanted to confirm they'd be assessing its effectiveness in their labwork. And the good news, they confirmed they will be testing disulfiram (amongst other therapeutics) in regards to efficacy against duncanci and microti. Exciting that we are finally going to get more lab evidence either way, should be helpful for patients.
Lyme1994: hey there, doc has me on zyrtec, zantac, ketotifen (1mg), and singulair (I think 30mg, however much a standard pill is). I'm dosing one standard pill of zyrtec and zantac, don't know the mgs on those. I think all this stuff is more effective layered together, I still feel a decent degree of flare, but severity is buffered. They also said I could add cromolyn, and I was considering it but it costs $160 which surprised me. Debating whether it is worth trying at this stage...
