I recently took the Great Plains myco toxin test in effort to find what's causing my brain fog, am anxiety / depression. Seasonally my house has had visable mold in the past. I also suspect coinfections to go along with my Lyme.
My results are in, with 15 in ochratoxin.
She said it was positive and low level... 4-20 is the range. Still not sure if it is a normal range or an exposure range. And what exactly it means.
She said I could do cholestramine (sp) or charcoal but that if I don't locate and remove mold or self, then it might not be very beneficial. And better to wait until do the binders after get away from source.
But seems like charcoal would be good for both Lyme and the mold, so thinking of adding that.
Are the antifungals mentioned in another thread...would this be for mold living in your body and if so is there a way to know if it is?
I wonder what a person who lives/ works etc. in a mold free environment would get on this test. As some degree of some of these molds are everywhere, correct? Just wondering how to determine how severe my result is? How to interpret?
Next week start the A bab to see how I respond. I think unidentified coinfection is a big driver in my symptoms and I've never treated for them.
Any insight appreciated. Thanks and hope.
