Is this Lyme arthritis, tendonitis, or something else?

I have a very hard time walking long distances because the inside of my knees start to ache and get swollen/inflamed. Its right below the inside where the *notch* is between the kneecap and the calf if that makes sense. Is this arthritis? It doesn't seem to be getting better with treatment...

You need to figure out if the cause of pain is inside or outside the joint which is not necessarily the same as where you feel it. I’ve had both.

Look up a muscle and tendon illustration under knee muscle tendon”image”. Then deeply work on / feel those areas and see if any tender spots are found. If so, those can create refereed pain to your knee. This is what a chiro which does more than cracking joints does.. in addition, I’d try the (edit) Penetrex inflammation cream 10,000 daises likes so much. Repeated applications do help but it’s expensive. If your not freaked out over dmso, that helps too ...plenty of old posts on this from lapis and myself.

It looks like it might be the medial collateral ligament that is affected? I don't know for certain though but thats the location. I haven't tried dmso I don't think but I do have heavy metals and problems detoxing them. I can't remember if it was dmso actually or something else I took that I didn't do well with. what penetration is that? I don't remember seeing it. Maybe I should go back to the chiropractor.

DMSO is topical.

If you purchase it buy the one in glass bottles.

My husband has healed a few issues with it in the past 25 years.

Oh okay thanks. Whats the risk or concern with taking it? Just detoxing too fast?

No risk or concerns but you have to use clean instruments when applying it. It carries everything on your skin (where it was applied) into the bloodstream. So the part of your body you’re applying it to needs to be clean as well as the utensil ( we use a small paint brush) to apply it.

It is an inexpensive treatment and it’s thought that the pharmaceutical companies were fear mongering because they couldn’t make a drug out of it and charge a lot of $$ so didn’t want people using it instead of pharmas

Walmart stores stocks the 2oz tub/jar for $18.

I find DMSO (with the tree) works better if used to drive in something like the above, or just basic Arnica Montana gel. or magnesium cream /gel.

It will drive in anything on your skin, so best to clean of any other lotions if present. ect. Dont get it in or above your eyes. On skin it soaks in best after showering/bathing, still about 20 minutes. Must let dry before covering with clothing as it can drawn clothing dies. Oily/sweaty skin wont soak it up - dont even try.

For application, I use a natural horse hair (3/4" wide)wooden paint brush (not synthetic or plastic) "dipping in a shot glass of DMSO.

DMSO is from tree wood, a mostly natural chemical/solvent.... kind of like turpintine, which is also from trees. Its been used for livestock and race horse injuries for years.

ah okay Ill have to check out how it works then...I know Ive heard of it. EDTA was the one I was thinking of. Maybe Ill just bring it up with my doc next time I see him.

Is the pain in the front or back of the section you describe below the knee?

Girlie--the LLMd I believe has heard of it, well I have before anyway so I should hope he has. Sheek- its kind of right behind the bone I guess? Its in front as well though. The whole bump of the inner kneecap area basically.

It could be lyme or bartonella in the patella tendon. We know that these bugs like to hide in the connective tissue. So I would consider lyme / bart / other co infections / or mold. I suppose diagnostic tests would be the next step if you haven't done that already.

I have pain in my knees as well. Mostly in the patella tendons.

Girlie - yes I was talking about the DMSO. I would think muy LLMD would have heard of it because I have.

Sheekster: I don't think I have mold but it could be anything honestly. That seems to be where my pain is located as well judging by pictures.
