skin itching? Curious, please try this

I am trying to figure out if it is just me, or if I stumbled on something
I went to the store to buy some Vick's vapor rub, I went to the Dollar General which is on the west coast not sure about other places.
of course because I am a cheap-o, I bought the knock off brand "REXALL Medicated Chest Rub"
Ingredients:
Camphor 4.8%
Eucalyptus oil 1.2%
Menthol 2.6%

I thought I was only getting Menthol, but I guess there are some other good things in there

Anyway, I put it on a itching spot... and bam 5-10 minutes later I got this raging burning sensation, the good kind where if you take a hot shower and it gives you the feeling that it is burning/itching -- but without the super hot burning water part.

I am curious if I can convince anyone of you who has itching spots (that migrate), which is a common symptom for this disease, to try this so I can figure out if it is just me.

I put it on another spot half way -- 50% on one side and the 50% nothing. Again in about 15-20 minutes I got an intense feeling good burning sensation followed by sweat.

I do this at night before going to bed around 9pm when the itching is the most intense.

So last night I decided to put it on 100%. No burning sensation and no itching. And the itching is gone. I used probably about 1/4 tea spoon of the entire $2 product bottle and it appears to be extremely effective.

I am wondering if it has a method of action that somehow kills whatever it is under the skin. If it isn't just me, and other people notice the same thing, then perhaps this could be a new thing.

It could be mold, lyme, or a parasite that I am killing --- or all three.
