Charlie,
My brain was telling my body to sit up but my body was not responding, instead I started to get what I can only describe as zaps that ended up creating major muscle twitching in my limbs. I was able to get up and go to the bathroom and told myself to calm down and was able to go back to sleep but it was so freaky. I had something similar to this a couple of years ago (also after a glass of wine) when I was similarly exhausted. I thought at the time it was a panic attack because my heart was racing. But this time it felt more in my head. Do you think it's possible I was having a major die-off or something?
Sounds like bartonella die off to me, make sure you're drinking lots of water, epsom salt baths, and milk/thistle alpha lipoic acid.
For me, bartonella is what caused my anxiety, racing mind, intrusive thoughts, and heart racing. It was obvious, since I didn't have any of these symptoms before, after I treated babesia aggresively with coartem/primaquine for 1-2 months and then 3-4 months with csa formula and a-bab, the bartonella later flared up, I guess it's common reading this article

OCD
pins and needles hands and feet
sore and electrical surges in arches of feet
zaps
muscle twitches
You might want to try detox heavily for a week or so, then try Houttynia at a very slow rate or even Japanese Knotweed.
Some even go on Xanax or Beta Blockers to bring down their anxiety and heart rate because the symptoms become so bad. I tried Xanax, works only temporarily, detox seems to have a longer lasting effect for me. Also clean diet of just meats and vegetables(low carb), fasting a few hours with just water, seems to bring down the symptoms.
Anyways, be sure to follow what Stephen Buhner or Rawls recommends, but if I were you, I'd avoid sida acuta for now until your heart rate comes down, along with your other symptoms.
I mean, you could also have babesia that could be causing the heart racing too, but you said you don't have a spleen, so most likely babesia symptoms would be pretty obvious. Sounds like just bartonella and borrelia to me. You still could try babesia treatment with just crypto at some point down the road, but for now, I'd target the bartonella/borrelia.
Also, yeah, I suspect even wine can cause herxing because it has elements in it that are antibacterial. I know when I sipped on wine a few years back, I also herxed!
Be sure to use the search box on here and match up your symptoms with bartonella and anxiety, bartonella and heart racing, bartonella and electric surges... All very common symptoms that pop up on the search with bart.
