Is there any way to get rid of bartonella without going crazy doing so?

Bluejellybean, 7 drops is more than I can tolerate even. I am down to one drop a day. How long did it take you to get up to 7?

I agree that Bartonella is the worst of all the infections. I almost wonder if I got re-infected last year and that's where the Bart came from because within the span of a month my functioning went down dramatically and it's been slogging steps getting back up to baseline.

I am hesitant to try Rifampin for the Bart because of how bad I herx on houttuynia...I'm not sure if it would be better or worse. My doc suggested it last time. In any case my current antibiotic combo isn't doing anything I can see.

I am still herxing on a single drop. I am doing a washout this coming week and starting from scratch with the houttuynia. Because I have not. been. sleeping. I think I went up too much too fast and now my body is stuck in a vengeful cycle of herxing or something. So I'm gonna add back the Lyme herbs tomorrow and just do those for the next week because I need one night of good sleep at least. Then next week will start at freaking half a drop. If that's too much I really am at a complete loss as to what to do.

I ordered the plain JK and SA from Woodland Essence, not the combo herbs, but I'm not going to start those until I adjust to one drop of houttuynia.

Girlie not a problem I can't remember either lol. I'm on minocycline two days a week, cefuroxime and zithromax every day. I'm scared to try rifampin now (definitely not rifabutin) because if this is any indication my bartonella is absolutely raging.

I just don't know what to do. It's like if I poke it with a tiny little pine needle it turns into a hulking Loch Ness monster. I feel like it's too powerful to even conquer. I have no idea how it got this bad. I'm wondering if I got re-infected last year during a vacation because I went downhill really quick after we got back and haven't really been able to get up since.

It's weird because when I was on Cowden in 2014-15 houttuynia was part of the protocol and I was definitely not this bad. So I really am wondering if I got a bite in the Arizona desert and didn't know about it.
