Geez, who climbs into a 140 degree IR sauna on a 90 degree day?!??
Oh, that’s right ...... we do 😩 ...... just a little Lyme humor no one else would understand 😂

So i’ve been taking Rocephin IM shots since the end of May, 2 grams 4 on/3 off. Along with that I am doing mino 100 mg am/200 pm, A-BART, and I just stopped Ivermectin as it was all to much. Im doing this and a host of other herbs and supps that historically help and cause me little grief. Some days I think I am starting to find a balance, but I’m still really herxing the first two days back on the Rocephin and then again the last day or day and a half before I start back up again. So basically I’m not getting any kind of a break at all.

I’m detoxing like crazy, actually sleeping kinda sorta well and eating clean. I don’t want to give up, I already have a long list of abx I can’t handle. Has anyone else had problems with Rocephin or any experiences you can share?

I was on Rocephin + zithromax for 2.5 months. I had ups and downs as you are having but they didn't come on a consistent schedule (not predictable). Ultimately I had to stop treatment as it was suspectedly the cause of my anemia. Still not sure if it truly was or if flaring of other co-infections was the true cause. Are you keeping an eye on your blood work?

Anyway I'm currently feeling slightly worse than I was before I started the abx. Hoping my immune system can get back on track soon- it's been about a month since I stopped abx. Slowly tweaking my herb/supp regimen (which I have been on continuously for years)

Potsnpans, thanks for the response, appreciated. And thanks for the bump Girlie, I've been away from technology the last couple days.
I was curious if your protocol was the same as mine 2 grams 4 days on / 3 off? The PA I am seeing seems to be a bit heavy handed in her protocols I was keeping a general log and find that my "consistency" is not as consistent as I thought - far more bad and mixed days than good. Unless it is a specific symptom like skin burning sensation, it is so hard to tell if you are herxing or reacting to the meds.
I'm also back to working on my immune system, if you do nutritional IV's do you find them helpful? I have in the past and have one scheduled for next week. Ozone has been helpful as well.

And blood work, yes - every 30 days. Last go round my kidneys were a little cranky but everything else was back in range. Before that I was on Rifampin but it tossed my WBC again so they pulled me off.

Are you taking a Rocephin shot once a day? I was trying to do that for awhile, but I quickly run out of spots to inject because it always forms this golf ball size lump at the spot of injection, which for me is the butt cheek muscles.

I'm surprised you can tolerate mino so well. That's wonderful. Mino is supposed to be able to penetrate the BBB. That was the worst abx that I had tried as far as side effects. I took a full pill of mino and was out of commission for about 2 weeks.

Sounds like you're tolerating these abx cocktails well! Best of luck. Hope you have a quick recovery!

I am gfields, 4 days on and 3 days off and I definitely understand about the golf ball size lumps - mine are smaller and if I'm able to take a walk afterwards they go away before the next shot on that side...but I stay sore all 4 days for sure. Did you have any other effects from the shots? I was hoping more had used Rocephin so I could get a handle on the difference between herxing and if this is just to much for my system.

Bluelyme my daughter gets the burning eyes. She’s on Rocephin 6 days a week. What is up with the eyes??

I have burning skin on my hands and forearms that comes and goes but not my eyes, that sounds horrible. Is that with the inter-muscular shots? Upatnite, is your daughter doing IM shots or something else?

I just realized that my original post is under Teri1257 and responses are UpBeet - how confusing! I did the first post from my ipad and the responses have been on my desktop. I must have created an account under my old email that is still active on the ipad ... huhmn ....

My daughter has a picc line. The burning eyes started shortly after starting Rocephin. Was very intense and I don’t think she had ever experienced that particular symptom prior to Rocephin. She’s been on Rocephin 3 months now and that symptom has really improved but still flares some occasionally. I have no idea what that is but assume it’s some sort of nerve related herx because it has now improved.

I didn't get the burning eyes but I've talked to others who experienced this. I thought it was the body getting used to the drug, though not sure...
