Hello all! I’m reaching out because I’m having some new concerning symptoms. I’m a teacher and recently started back up at work from summer break. During the past few days I’ve notice my legs feel weak when I’m up standing on them. Almost like my knees can’t hold my weight. I’ve had a pretty good symptom free summer and have been running even! So I’m really concerned about
Themis sensation I’m having. It’s almost like my legs feel shakey? Like that sensation you get when your blood sugar drops, but that’s not the case.
I have had a positive Lyme and co’s test in the past two years and was treated with IV antibiotics for several months. I am currently only on herbals but I’m scared it’s something more? Like MS? ALS? Or do you all think this is just another lousy Lyme manifestation?
Thanks so much in advanced!

I suspect mold exposure at school. Schools are notoriously moldy.
- good, symptom free summer
- went back to school (a change in indoor environment) and new weakness in legs
Yes, that symptom can be related to mold exposure, as can most of the symptoms caused by Lyme/co.
You could do an ERMI or HERTSMI-2 test on your classroom to find out. If you know there’s mold or past or current water damage, don’t waste your money on the test. Just insist the school get it safely remediated (remove water damaged building materials under containment with negative air pressure; replace carpet if there is any; clean entire HVAC system using NADCA standards).

I had that. For years. Many have in the past here too.
I think it was an extension of spinal pain and weakness. > The Sciatic nerve(s) to your legs go through the lower vertabrea, so if your back is tweaked, its not uncommon for leg weakness or pain to follow.
I'm much better in that area now after ABX and many various forms of PT and muscle release (mine and therapists versions).
In addition to weakness, My whole body also had tremors at one point, very ridged movements too. Went to several Rumi's- no diseases. Even had many distrophy / muscle / nervous disease tests (got a grant through a hospital) and the genes for them (about
400), I was clean.
It was from what lyme did and possibly autoimmune stuff I ended up with.
Im much stronger today.
That said , standing without bending/ moving is not good for anyone. Buy your own high stool if needed.
