Herbal producers...Woodland Essence / SageWoman

I’ve used both - I think maybe some of the herb tinctures are stronger maybe?
Compare a few of them.

I did like woodland essence better - but don’t remember why .. lol

I've seen posts on the buhnerhealinglyme site where he recommends Sage Woman Herbs. It does seem woodland essence is recommended more frequently. Perhaps he just has a closer working relationship with them and knows more about their practices.

In the books he specifies ratios for each herb, although sometimes he will say it's not very important.

I buy from both suppliers, more often from SW tho because as you said, they are cheaper.

Buhner rattled off a short list of recommended sources in an interview - I'll try to find the info...I think I typed it out.

Both Woodland Essence and Sage Woman Herbs are on it..along with Green Dragon Botanicals....and I think 1st Chinese herbs (bulk).

I believe his Bart book lists sources as well...I can check it later.

I started with Woodland Essence. They had most of the herbs I wanted, were recommended by Buhner for a number of herbs, and I needed to order from as few companies as possible due to shipping costs. I still buy theirs. I have no reason to think they are not good. They have excellent customer service and very fast shipping.

I have not used Sage Woman but was looking for something yesterday on their site. Can’t remember what. I have looked at most of the companies but have only ordered tinctures from WE, Montana Farmacy, and Beneficial Botanicals - all Buhner recommended.

Of those 3, WE has the fastest shipping. MF is slow as molasses. BB was in the middle I think. I didn’t think there were quality issues with any, though I am not an herbalist and wouldn’t really know without trying the same herb from multiple companies.

Buhner recommended different companies for different herbs on the Buhner Healing Lyme site. Some he was emphatic about, like lion’s mane.

I still want to get Chinese senega root from Elk Mt Herbs but never have. It’s for nerve repair.

Just one caveat- I don't think the ratios are all about potency. Sometimes Buhner recommends 1:5 over a 1:2 or whatever and I think it has more to do with which chemical constituents are extracted from the herb and at what levels. It doesn't seem to be important to him very often but there are some herbs where he does stress the importance.
